Friend gifted it to me and the game just got fucking better and better as they updated it. Playing on a private server with about 8 buddies is fucking excellent.

Didn't really hate it, but it was my least favourite of the classic Sonic games my first time through. After replaying it with Taxman's version and getting all of the achievements, I like it better than 2 now.

I played Final Fantasy 7 for the first time about six months ago. It's now one of my all time favorite games.
I expected gay anime shit, but honestly the story has more in common with classic adventure movies like Indiana Jones or Star Wars than it does with just about any anime I can think of, though there are some shades of Eva in certain parts.
It's amazing how badly SE has fucked with the game's image. As far as I'm concerned the Advent Children and Kingdom Hearts interpretations of the characters are as far removed from the originals as modern Sonic is from classic Sonic.

The beginning of DD is really really slow. I received it as a gift (the first edition) and lost interest fast. Came on /v/ before the release of the Dark Arisen, heard good things and picked it back up. What an absolute wonderful game. Never went back to do the post game though. I got caught up In school
KoA was a game I wanted to play for completionist sake. I ended up putting a huge chunk of time into it. It's an incredibly fun game with a some what interesting world even if it relies on too many generic tropes

Took me over a year to get over the motion controls and just play it; now it's one of my favorite Metroid games.

It took me until the final Jeanne fight, which is almost the entire game. I was sliding on my face getting near straight stones because of QTE and dying but then it finally clicked.
Fuck Kinship and the electric Glory/Grace who you can't witch time though. Those bastards still ruin me to this day.

probably because around 50 hours is what you need to get past the boring tutorial/initial quests and level your class enough to get a feel for it. honestly, it gets a lot better when you don't have to grind your main class anymore (and with the exp bonus leveling additional classes becomes easier) because then you can really get into high-end multiplayer stuff, which is the better part of it.
