To add to this, a lot of details were cut, weapon animations and overall handing got worse (to make it work better with controllers), a lot of traps were removed from the levels, you get much more currency.
It got consolized to hell.

The engine is better optimized, it's not important however unless you have a 10 years old potato PC.
