I used the Great Machete on my first playthrough and switched to Yhorms Great Machete later on, the game is definitely doable with those slow weapons, but you can only hit most bosses once unless you stagger them like Abyss Watchers. Just don't get greedy, the PVE definitely favors fast weapons though

The cracks show very hard after a playthrough, especially so if you try out other builds. Its their least playtested game to date, and a ton of it feels half-assed after that first playthrough. Fight him like second phase SoC. It's a very similar fight. Keep a medium distance on him to bate out the jump attack and roll forward under it, turn around and whack him once or twice. If you're good at dodging you can easily sneak in hits in close range but his timing is really weird so if you get into the zone you're going to fuck up because of the random delays.
Honestly he isn't even insanely hard, it's just that "The boss is the camera! Also there's a dragon I guess" makes you so fucking angry that you're going to fuck up against him. When you beat the camera boss just spend a bit getting into dodging his attacks to re-adjust. He'd be the best fight in the game if it wasn't for the shitty camera in the dragon segment. Took me a bit too. I still think Pontiff is way harder though.

It says on the DRAGON TORSO STONE that in meditation you will be transported to Archdragon Peak. When you get the mediation (Path of the Dragon) emote you should instantly go back to where you found the torso stone because the statue is doing the same pose. I figured it out because of a "try gesture" player message. I tried all my available gestures at the time with no success, so when I got the dragon gesture I remembered really well where to use it.
That said, without those two simple words it can be very difficult to associate them two. People really take those messages for granted and can't imagine how hard it must be playing without them like enb does, for better or worse.

I don't pretend to know but If I can't see the character realistically doing something the actual player is doing it feels wrong. Like I imagine the player character probably feels what its like to die every time the player fucks up so I wouldn't purposefully forfeit a life. Generally there will always be at least one message next to the dragon statue in the dungeon saying try gesture. It's pretty obvious once you find the gesture in the castle what you're supposed to do. And even then, if you didn't see any messages like that, it's not a stretch that someone would go back and try the gesture out of curiosity.

Since the Walking Dead LP he's "done no wrong" compared to the other shitshows they've done and is generally the fan favorite.
Snailborne was a failure directed more at Woolie than Pat, even though Pat spoiled himself for it. So he wasn't the focus.

But DS3 is the first time its been 100% his fault for the LP being shit, and holy shit is he not taking it well at all.
You nailed it with them exploding though, they got like half a million subs in a year, and have since dramatically dropped in flow, but its certainly responsible for the massive ego and do-no-wrong attitude they have.
This won't end them though, its just a steady change of the fanbase, older fans are dropping and younger kids are taking their place because they have no standards. They've pretty much hit their peak at this point, and it'll be steady slow going until one of them collapses or something.

I played Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, Demon Souls, Bloodborne and now Dark Souls 3 in that order and I have not been disappointed once.

I can beat just about every boss first try at this point and I still die to him like 7 times a run. Last time I beat Dancer without taking a hit but Pontiff still pegged me hard. He has 2 combos that are effectively instant kills since they stagger you so long you can't dodge the second hit. When he does the ground lunge attack I recommend just keeping your distance and not taking the chance to hit him, since that one is usually followed by one of the two combos. The other one you just need to dodge since it happens randomly at close range. Just keep at it, you'll get him.
