Play an Elf Cleric for free proficiency and abuse the shit out of your buffs/take Divine Might & Divine Shield
Just go scythe weapon master and one shot everything
Bard/mystic archer, m8.

I had a lot of fun with just straight fighter/mage/arcane archer as soon as possible. Fireball arrow is OP as fuck early on and you can drop most enemies in vanilla and early Hordes without them even getting close.
On the other hand every other class skill is garbage and you can get mobbed later on. Mephisto is a bitch too to get over his DR.
