>>
I have a YouTube channel, if that's what you're asking?

Yea. I usually trash my footage unless something interesting happens.
>>
I just use Shadowplay and save it if anything spectacular happens.
>>
>>337351173
I do record, then cut maybe a 10sec clip of it if something interesting happens and post in .webm threads.
>>
I record pretty often when I play but I never record entire playthroughs or anything. I have a yt account where I dump in random vidya shit sometimes

recently i've just been collecting some of my better DaS3 pvp videos until there's a good amount so I can put them together and upload to yt
>>
>>337351173
No, I play games just to have fun, not to let other faggots see how I play.

I used to use fraps but started using shadowplay.
People seem to like my guides and movies but nobody watches my general gameplay series.
>>
I used to record random runs and post them on Youtube. I'm not as dedicated as I used to be. ;_;
>>
>>337355547

Word of advice: sort your shit into playlists.

I'm not saying stop making the other content, but if you have content that people are clearly gravitating to make it easily accessible

Why is it so hard to make blonde hair in this game? It always ends up in some shade of green in certain backlight situations, like in this video.
>>
>recording cs go gameplay
honestly like recording your dog at this point. everyone can and has done it.
>>
No, but I probably would if OBS added a pre-record option.
>>
I do, but I still lack a proper video editing program. Used to use Virtualdub but it doesn't like the files Shadowplay spits out.
>>
>>337356260
By video editing do you mean montage or post-process?
>>
>>337356380
Anything that can do simple cutting, really.
>>
>>337356453
Use Shotcut then.

pre-record? You mean a replay buffer? If so, it has that already.
>>
>>337356258
>but I probably would if OBS added a pre-record option.
You mean a DRM function like Shadowplay or Raptr / Plays TV?
OBS has such a feature for ages now...since far back into 2015

I record almost everything (as long as I can setup OBS to work with the game without too many issues) and I try to keep it. I often enjoy rewatching myself play something.
The idea would be to Youtube it all for longterm safekeeping since these files become too big to realistically keep, but since my upload is total shit I'm having a lot of trouble with it.
>>337356260
Webm for Retards (Webm Converter for the PC crowd) has become my recent go-to linear transcoder. It works pretty well.
>>
>>337356641
>>337356554
Can't find it on OBS Studio.
That might have been the cause.
>>
>>337356694
>Using OBS Studio
Well no shit. Use the original build, not the "new" multiplatform one. Many feature have yet to arrive into the Multiplatform rebuild
>>
>>337356527
Will take a look at it, thanks.

>>337356768
Alright, I'll do that. Thanks /v/amily.

Thats what I do. I got into the Youtube Shows program, but I think youtube abandoned shows and now all those videos are like in SEO limbo.
>>
>>337351173
No, because I don't foster a need for attention.

No, because I don't make videos with 20 second long dubstep intros.

>>

No. Probably.
>>
>>337356852
No prob mate. I'm not saying that Studio is shit by the way.
Studio is actually pretty good and works like a charm and has more (literal) quality features than old OBS such as RGB / lossless recording
Sorry for sounding rougher than i wanted to at first
>>
I just started using OBS to record some silly gameplay, do you guys record your entire playsession in 1080 and then edit afterwards? Or do you only hit record and stop periodically?
>>
>>337357104
Don't worry. I'm wondering though, is the replay buffer stored in the RAM? Because It's showing [estimated size]/8GB, which is how much RAM I have, but during recording the task manager doesn't show RAM usage going up.
>>
Very rarely, mostly just to make tiny files so I can send them to my buddy who doesn't have internet good enough to stream youtube.
>>
>>337357783
It is indeed using your RAM to store the recordings, yes.
It will fill up your RAM as the recording goes.
Therefore you obviously shouldn't go too fucked up with the bitrate or the length of the replay
>>
No. I'm not gay and I don't do lets plays, sorry.
>>
I have a channel where I do Let's Plays. I try to be informative when possible and mostly stick to games I've beaten at least once. Here's my latest video in case if anyone is interested - https://youtu.be/c_C02e99_g0
