I know that crossplay requires devs to run their own servers. So technically something like MGSV can go cross-play but games on Steamworks/PSN can't go crossplay. BB player here, don't like Xrd much since YRC is fucking retarded as a mechanic IMO but BB has far, FAR worse setplay issues than Xrd could ever have (outside of zato), look at CF, Carl/Rachel/Valk/Izayoi/Izanami just off the top of my head all do some level of setplays/unreactables ad nauseum on end to get the kill and are pretty much S tier, CPE generally has a LOT less setplay but CP 1.0/1.1 had far far MORE setplay and the kokonoe unblockables, as well as a stronger relius/carl
