Thank you /v/ for finally convincing me to play this game. Tonight was the first time I ever touched the Dark Souls series and I fucking love every bit of it so far and I just beat Heavy Knight at Undead Parish.

You need to get the connectivity mod. There's a thread on the steam forums about it. Basically just enter in a couple of recent codes from the thread and you will be connecting to people.
Also make sure to get the dsfix and pvp watchdog mods too.

I'm using Warrior. I came into Dark Souls basically 100% blind. Only thing I knew prior was that it's infamous for being hard.

good job!. Upgrading weps>leveling up str/dex(Dmg wise)
upgrading armor is basically useless(you can still upgrade if you want to tho)
also, the class you picked doesn't really matter much as you can easily level up the stats for the wep you need.
oh and i would suggest leveling up health, it's really useful for a new player cus when i played dark souls for the first time, i went full dex and no health so every boss 2shot me.

I just beat this last week for the first time playing it
Game was EZ as fuck
Hardest bosses
>dragonslayer ornstein and executioner smough
Not because they were hard, but because at that point I had gotten through the game backstabbing everything with my black knight sword +1 which was terrible for that fight
