Cinematography would be extremely difficult to pull off, but a Half Life move would be cool.
I feel like a mass effect movie or tv series could do ok. Especially if there was a focus on making them more like ME1 and just making it a love letter to 80s sci-fi. Even BETTER if it took place in the mass effect universe but had an original story and didn't follow the events of the game but rather just there being a first human spectre. Could even be named shepherd so long as reapers were left out of it.

When videogames stop making money. If something is popular Hollywood will make a half ass movie out of it, created by people who have no respect for the source material.
If we're lucky then eventually they get to a point where they take it seriously and then the quality improves and they run it into the ground cranking out as many as they can as with the glut of superhero movies.
