I realize I was being ambiguous because I don't like spoilering my posts here but I also don't like talking about DR2 spoilers in the open like this. But let me bite the bullet and explain myself openly since we're all talking like this.
First and foremost, there are 2 sabotages going on in the game, the first being Monokuma sabotaging the game via the Despair Group as the original purpose was to rehabilitate the class. The second one, the one I'm talking about, is the attempt where Nagito found out in the book just who the Despair Group was and basically had his ideals crapped all over and planned to eradicate them. That one would sabotaging all the work Makoto and his crew put into saving them if Monokuma's intervention wasn't enough.
This is also why I lost all respect for him for being so damn fast and having the audacity to want people to praise him like the second coming.

that's what bugs me about that case.There are themes of self sacrifice all over the place: Specifically the "ogre" statue. If I remember correctly, Gundahm striaght up tells hajime (in his own way) that he did it because he couldn't stand watching a life be wasted away for something so stupid (Starving) Hajime confronts him about it, but ends up just believing him. Plus, if you take away the self sacrifice idea, he really had the weakest motive, since there was food for the hamsters. But what you're saying, makes perfect fucking sense, since Monokuma had never said that a suicide did not count.

Did Gundham's japanese VA make a lot of parodies or am I imagining things? Even me not knowing much japanese I noticed some lines he said that weren't translated as he actually said them. I'm mostly assuming that as even his name is a pun and his VA is the god sugita
