Well that's kinda my point. Convenience has totally removed human interaction and intimacy. Convenience has made it all too easy for employers to be ridiculously picky because they no longer have to deal with candidates in person, but can just sift through prospective employees wholesale online and want the absolute best possible people in the vicinity of an entire city instead of giving a motivated person a chance to learn and grow.
Convenience has taken away the necessity to actually go out and interact with people if you actually wanted to have friends. Now you have a bunch of faceless people on skype/teamspeak/steam that you 'hang out' with on video games to curb your loneliness.
Convenience has taken away family bonds and embittered people to resent time with their parents or kids to make it a chore that gets in the way of their diversionary toys.

Convenience has put the world's information at our fingertips. Media has unprecedented ability to bombard you with all the worst aspects of humanity 24/7, with all the horrible shit happening all over the world because they know that's what we can't help but be drawn towards paying attention to because of human nature. Social media creates both an open forum and an echo chamber where negativity and the 'safety' of us being behind monitors makes us increasingly detached from the fact that we're talking to other human beings(Some that we ostensibly are supposed to care about). This constant bombardment of negative news, negative 'discussion', and negative information on shit that, without the internet, you'd never know/give a shit about because it doesn't effect you. It all just makes people hateful and bitter, and convinces us that Humans are all shitty, petty, violent thugs out to get one another, so we clam up even tighter in our shells.
Convenience is killing us.

It's kind of a curse, actually. Knowing what life was like before PC's were more than just work stations, and when multiplayer required actually going outside and making friends, or even having gaming moments with your parents if they were cool like that. I miss playing Zombies Ate my Neighbors with Grandma. I miss bullshitting with my friends, then having a weekend stay-over where we played mortal kombat or took turns getting our shit slapped in Out of This World, or pretending we knew what the fuck we were even doing with Tecmo Bowl.
The pain of having experienced it and knowing that it all literally was downhill from that point on and life is only going to get shittier and shittier is horrible. Younger folks have it easy, to them this is normal. They have nothing to compare it to. They're acclimated to it even when, deep inside, they know it's wrong. That's why we have all these mentally damaged nutcases and trannies and crap everywhere. We're being torn apart.

My parents just locked us out of the house. One time, when I was around 6, I was locked out and played with my friends. Later, they had to go inside for dinner so I just played by myself on the lawn. I was starting to get thirsty, tried to go inside but the door was still locked. I then went to the gutter and started drinking from it. A neighbor saw and called my parents. We were never locked out again.

My parents actually bought a second shed for the backyard for extra storage and a place for me to camp out on weekends.
Was actually super comfy and I put in a cruddy TV/VCR with my N64, had a couple friends sleep over a lot. But yeah, I know it was just so my parents could fuck. I shared a wall with them, after all.

That game is not that old.
The good memories were back when arcades were popular.
You would get a lot of experimental games that used odd peripherals.

Some shitty flipburger joint, other half is some pillow store or some shit? I sometimes go to flipburger not because I enjoy the burgers but just to enjoy the space that it once was.
It's fucking weird that the very ground a store chain was on is somewhat sentimental to me.

This picture triggers me.
My parents knew I was sensitibe but I loved horror/scary movies.
I seen it once, ONCE, and don't remember it.
Parents buy it on VHS for me, but it doesn't work.
I used to always rewind and play, but it'd never work.
Parents finally tell me it's not gonna work, but I wanna watch it cuz it's a faulty VHS.
20 years later I'm still wondering what the movie is about.
I think my aunt gave it to my dad and my parents knew I liked these movies.

They have/had Blockbuster in Australia, I haven't seen one in my state in years though so others might still have them.
Major video store in my state was Video Ezy but most of them have shutdown with few of them being taken over by Network Video or something like that.
There is a Video Ezy still in a country town one of my friends moved to and I managed to get the Ace Attorney Trilogy on DS from the ex-rental bin. 5 bucks each as well.

My mom always puts away movies we don't watch.
Now that I know what the movie is I can find it.
I bet it sucks lol,
