Going to start related. Played it when I was really little but can't recall a thing about how it played.

Fun fact: Cool Spot is actually the third game in the franchise.
Previously there had been Spot: The Video Game on such systems as the Nintendo, Gameboy and the Amiga, and a sequel on the Gameboy called Spot: The Cool Adventure.
Furthermore, Cool Spot itself got a sequel called Spot Goes To Hollywood on the Genesis, Saturn and PS1.

Why Spot is no longer utilized as 7up's official mascot is beyond me. Hell, I'd probably still drink soda if he and Pepsiman were around.

Ignore this faggot. Genesis fags have fucked up ears that prevent them from hearing their shitty soundchip.
>>
>>337300313
My brother used to play this game

I remember that you just went through a bunch of levels that have nothing to do with 7-Up, but then sometimes there were bonus levels taking place in a soda bottle
>>
>>337308667
Mostly accurate. The game's fucking awesome.

Genesis wins on account of having the most competent work put into it and not because the other systems couldn't do any better or worse. This was very common with multiplats back in the day; sometimes the SNES version was better, sometimes the Genny won out, all dependent on the crews working on the game and not the systems themselves. But all versions are perfectly playable. Console war faggotry is for manchildren that never grew out of the 90s and millennials vaxing nostalgic over the previous two decades they weren't alive to experience.

I'll admit that I remember the SNES version sounding better than it does, but it does bass so much fucking better than the Genesis that it's crazy. I still prefer the SNES version.
>>
>>337309426
I'm a manchild. I'll admit it. But I have always preferred the SNES's soundchip. Sound design is huge to me, especially when core mechanics aren't so important or distinguishable.

I grew up with the Mega Drive but I got to appreciate SNESs more orchestral approach later in life.
And the more I explore each system the more it becomes apparent: Neither has any clear advantage over the other. Both sounchips have their flaws and advantages, and when it comes to multiplats, whichever version sounds better has more to do with the people making the games than the systems themselves.
Dismissing the Mega Drive's arcade like synth as "farts" is as asinine as dismissing the SNES sound chip as "canned noise", both sounded as such in the wrong hands, and furthermore, the Mega Drive gets a bad rap because sound emulation has been trickier on emulators in the past than on the SNES, so if you want honest examples of how it really sounds you'd better look for recordings from real hardware instead of just listening to the first horribly emulated Professor G link that pops up.
