What should Steam do in this situation?
unban the poor guy, it's not his fault
If father says it, it must be true.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Listen I have worked with father for over ten years, he's a man of honor and integrity. Unban his son and his son's brother, Valve.
Sincerely
the friend

Why do you keep posting this?
>>337262585
The same reason why people keep posting their steam profiles or avatars.
Attetion.
Report & sage
What would you do in this situation?
>banning every account related to the same phone number
>>337263458
uninstall origin spotify and upgrade to win10
and also not play on a laptop
>>337263458
>It's me your brother
Cracks me up every time.
I've never cheated in a game and I'm certainly not VAC banned but I have real issues with how Valve bans are infinite and non-negotiable.
>>337263929
Then don't fucking cheat.
>>337263929
Would you want to negotiate with this kind of people, or even worse wasting time and money of your multibillionaire company with them?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz3wZKbb0Pc
>>337263929
There main purpose is to scare off people from even using cheats in the first place and it's working... kinda.
>>337261252
VAC is 100% automated, even if they wanted to Valve/Steam can't unban.
>>337264137
By that logic just make any trespass against any law a death sentence. Just don't break the law! But, we as a society have decided that in almost all cases we believe in people enough to give rule breakers second chances after a fair punishment.
>>337263929
play the game normally? I mean hacking in single player games isnt a issue for anyone, on the other hand if you hack in online you are fucking with everyone. Its ok to cheat in single players since it affects you, if you hack online do it in an alt or some shit like that because retards would get fucked in a obvious thing.
>>337264653
I just don't think one mistake should follow anyone forever, given that they are willing to repent and change. Don't get me wrong, the VAC ban could be several years but it should have an end.
>>337264614
The analogy works perfectly except that, unlike death, VAC bans won't stop you from playing all games on Steam for all eternity and are more like a 'this guy is a fuccboi' note on your profile.
Just don't fucking cheat in a shitty game. Is that really so hard for you?
>>337264614
>bringing up a subject as serious as law and trials in this shitty discussion
>bringing up the fucking death sentence on an discussion about virtual bans given out to autistic kids to stop them from trading their virtual play-doo colored imaginary water guns
Holy shit man
>>337263691
At first I thought it was a bad idea too but then I remembered that you don't have to pay for Steam like XBL or PSN, so the money you save their could easily go to a burner phone or something. You really only need to verify your account once too so it's not like you need to keep the phone activated.
>>337264780
Thats the developer decision, look at gta online, they have 3 warnings if you hack money and then is perma ban, then there is also the bans because of straight fucking with the people getting you perma banned. I can understand what you mean but I see this a fair punish for using straight cheats ruining other people matches. Honestly bans should been looked into but that requieres man power and many hours of angry kids.
>>337264948
Public shaming speaks to our baser instincts. There's a reason we as a society has moved past pillories and the likes.
>>337265071
Indefinite per-game bans are different. A three strike rule seems fair though.
>>337263929
>>337264137
Since when are valve bans permanent? I've seen profiles with like 20 VAC bans on record.
>>337264614
>getting banned is the same as being sentenced to death!
Yeah whatever faggot. You deserve that ban you got.
>>337265290
since you can't read
>>337264780
Intentionally downloading, installing, and using a cheat for a game is not a mistake, it's a choice.
>>337265516
Only thing I did was put tape on my monitor and now almost 10 years after I'm still publically shamed for it.
>>337265609
>implying anyone ever got vac banned for that.
No shitpost son, here's your (You)
>>337264614
That works same for vac ban
You have a rule written that you agreed to follow, and you broke it in your own accord. Same as the law, if do x gets you a certain punishment then this is exactly the same, you cheated and it was written you would get vac banned for it.
>all those youtube channels that got banned and act like they dont care
>everyone acting like they weren't douchebags
>that one fucking "INTENTIONAL BAN" steam profile
ayy
