I'm not for console war faggotry but the genesis does have some good music for those few games where audio was a priority.
(It's a well known fact that it was harder to code music on the genesis, SNES soundfonts were simpler to work with.)

SNES's sound channels allowed it to upload literally anything and play it back perfectly with minimal compression.
