All of the Drakengard 3 girls but Three have decent motivations and varying degrees of character development (some of which are post-mortem).
There is also the fact that Donte is not a cute girl, but I like to think you're better than that.

Most abridged series are shit. Dragonball, Hellsing, the SAO one, Free, and sometimes JoJo which is just more T4S are the good ones that actually abridge the shows. Purpleeyeswtf does a good job of taking the shows and making them into their own retarded thing, but it's mostly lolsorandumb humor that is fast-paced enough to be funny. Infinite Ment has made me laugh a few times, too.

The production values on SWEAbridged are astounding, but otherwise it's just passable. Its rendition of Episode 4 seemed boring and uncreative, and while it's no doubt the fault of the source material for making the episode about nothing but jerking off to a tagalong loli and utterly destroying any and all tension in fight scenes by having Kirito completely physically unfazed by a PVP bum rush, it still hurts the spoof for not doing enough to change that.
