And the other half is likely about them being a legitimately shit publisher, but I know literally nothing about Perfect World until I saw the announcement. I'm happy as long as I get to play the game honestly, I'm still on Windows 10 so their platform won't effect me as far as I understand.
I played the everloving fuck out of the beta and really want to see Motiga succeed, I love many aspects of the game but they've got a long ways to go in terms of polish.

As I understand Gigantic is going to have a Founders Pack that might just be where you pay $30 or so to get everything as opposed to paying per-hero. I'm not sure though, they never divulged any info beyond a found pack existing.

The pace is slower than Overwatch, but still fast. Think Awesomenauts, for instance.
It has no turrets, lanes, or creeps, but does have levelling. The game-mode is based around control-points and the enemy AI boss, you mostly win via squad tactics.

You and a 5 buddies pick some rainbow colored weirdos and, with the help of your GIGANTIC guardian team up to destroy the enemy band of buddies and their GIGANTIC guardian. There are points on the map where you summon monsters to help you (there's a thing that heals your buddies, one that marks nearby enemies on your map, and one that constructs walls to limit enemy movement options)
All you gotta do is wound the enemy guardian 3 times to defeat them, and you win. Easy peasy.
