Their new album is shit
>tfw I got Chris Squire's autograph the year before he died

Jon Anderson lost his magic. All the living members did. They're a shell of what they were. Roundabout and Your Move/All Good People are two of my favorite pieces of music of all time.

Maybe like one or two songs but no.
So do we all agree that while Close to the Edge is the best prog rock album, King crimson is better on average?
>>337250821
Fuck you, I love it.
>>337254093
>Everyone raving about ITCOTCK and TAAB
>No love for the true king
>>337254904
Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Red, and Discipline are all better than that tho
>>337255365
I disagree, but respect your opinion. I just prefer Rush's more typical rock sound.
>>337254904
First of all
>Rush
Second of all that isn't even the best album
>>337251870
>tales from topographic oceans

Does anyone have any obscure, or semi-obscure recommendations? I found this in a sharethread on /mu/ almost six years ago and fell in love with it. Some really good modern prog-rock with hardcore influences.

Gentle Giant

School days
>>337258482
Flaming Lips
The Soft Bulletin
Feeling Yourself Disintegrate.
I literally can't stop listening to Harmonium, please send help.
I'm still new to prog rock and I'm afraid I found perfection too soon.
I like Porcupine Tree too.
I don't hate Fly From HereWhile it's far from being as good as old Yes, I think it has it's own magic into it
>>337263403
Fly From Here is their best work since Going For The One tbqh
I have a soft spot for Magnification and some songs from Keys 2, but yeah FFH is better
shame about the last album
>>337263403
I legit think Fly From Here is 8/10, but it's basically a Buggles album. But I liked that about Drama too. Trevor Horn is a great producer.
Also, The Ladder had some good tracks.
>>337258482
Yes
Motorpsycho - The death Defying Unicorn

What's the best live Yes song and why is it Starship Trooper?

>>337265201
My jaw dropped when that ending hit for the first time. I literally couldn't believe it and assumed nutbladder had edited the audio track.
Too bad they didn't license anything as good later on. Fucking Savant Garden, really? It fits, but, still.
