I was the opposite of you. I bought the game and had no intent on playing OW. Then I got into the beta on a whim and ended up liking both of them.

I rented BB from redbox on a whim, had no expectations going into it other than "it's probably like borderlands only different."
After watching the intro I was fucking slammed with good feels and hype. Enjoyed the first two days of playing so much I went ahead and bought it. Unlocking characters over time is a hell of a lot more satisfying than getting all of them handed to you from jump.
Man was I so happy when I unlocked Reyna; she is bestgirl after all.

As to OP. I am having a shitload of fun with it. But I really disliked OW (it feels like TF2, and I don't like that either). The multiplayer matches alone are just so much fun. It is very enjoyable, but /v/ won't be a place for vidya discussion, just shitposting BB and shilling OW.

Overwatch is low TTK low respawn time, while Battleborn is high TTK high respawn time. Battleborn has progression during the round but Overwatch doesn't. Battleborn has an AI presence on maps but Overwatch does not.
These are the important differences. They're both objective-based team shooters otherwise.

You need a large number of players before you can have artwork, that's how it goes.
I like it, it's messy fun as long as you bring friends. Just stay away from the PvE coop mode as it gets boring fast.
Can't say I'm happy about hero balance though as a few (like Galileia and Miko) have too much versatility and others (like Boldur) do not excel at anything.

The arc mine gets hung up on everything and never wants to land where I aim it, and his giant body gets caught on everything, I'd say at least 1/3 of my deaths are from getting stuck on world geometry while trying to retreat.
