My nigga. This was one of my first GBC games and it was an incredible game. I'm so glad the local videogameshop employee recommended it to my aunt who got it for me as a gift for my confirmation.
The only way LA could improve is by having more buttons.
One for sword, another for shield, two for items.

Link's Awakening had functionally better tunics where you had either perma 2x damage or 1/2 damage reduction as opposed to slightly increased defense, resistance against fire for one dungeon or ability to breathe underwater for one dungeon

I fucking loved the fact you could jump. and those small side view moment like the older games on the NES.
It's a fucking masterpiece, the only thing I'd complain about is the last boss phase that requires a big amount of trial and errors without a walkthrough (were there hints for that shit? seriously?)
