I think Lego might be next. Did they even release it in Europe? Whenever I go into a store it's just Amiibo, Skylanders and Infinity. Not even specialized Lego stores have Dimensions figurines, I really wanted the Portal pack.

Disney didn't pander hard enough to the audience that would actually buy all the toys. All the good classic characters were already released and there were too few new worthwhile new characters to create.

Minecraft, angry birds, and even terraria have merchandise everywhere too. But thats the problem is that nobody buys that shit for a few reasons. The licensing alone skyrockets the price of a lot of merchandise and it turns casual buyers off while the ones who actually like it only care about the game itself and not the T-shirt or plush with the design on it.

They have a much stronger shelf presence than Disney infinity for sure, probably on par with Skylanders and a little better than amiibo. They seem to be selling steadily too. EA has an exclusive deal on Star Wars but they said they would be open for collaboration (That big Western IP Muosu Koei Tecmo have announced is supposedly Star Wars). Marvel and Disney are just individual now.
Marvel licence, no one really knows though. It's been associated with both Sony and MS now, though. I doubt they will ever go platform exclusive with it though apparently Sony was just interested in games based on the MCU while MS was interested in games based on the comics.
