What did you guys think of this game? I'm a little late to the party but I heard good things about it and ended up playing all 5 episodes in a day. Really dug it, it had some weak aspects but the characters really sucked me in. What parts stood out to you? How did you feel about the ending? Did you see the Jefferson reveal coming? Did you cry like a bitch? Can we just discuss the game pls? I wanna know how /v/ feels about it.

true. I also didn't like how the devs gave way more attention to the arcadia bay ending, it definitely felt like that was the "true" ending and the other one was just tacked on. Still picked the other ending though just cause it made me feel better.

I'll give it recognition for doing something different, but someone else could probably have done it better. Most of the fun I got from it came from having a friend play it and seeing him do terrible things I don't have the guts to do, just to see what happens. Episode 5 getting triply was interesting, but the time powers seem unnecessary in 3 and 4.

It made me feel like a shit after the end. Episode was not so amazing but overall it was just a combination of american teenage simulator, veeery feelful soundtrack and time traveling. So it hit me hard. I definitely recommend, you will feel depressed if you had a shitty youth but you eventually want to change something in your life for better. You can even ignore the story, the ambience makes you feel like you want to do something with your life. In the first minutes of the game, the moment I left classroom and the main character put on her earbuds and the song started to play, I understood that it will hit me like a train and it did. Ignore hopeless obese neckbeards in the thread and give it a try yourself. Make sure you have some good speakers. OST is great.

I somewhat agree with this. I had a shitty time in high school and that made parts of it relatable. What made me more depressed was the stuff I hadn't experienced or pursued in my own life, I.E. she was quite and awkward but still had friends, she was passionate about something and pursued it, she formed deep connections with the people she knew. Kinda ties in with your point about making you wanna do something with your life, because after I finished this game it felt like something was missing from mine. I know, sounds gay af, Just my two cents.

At the same time you learn not to do regretful stuff because it also reminds you that you don't have rewinding power. This. I'm glad it made me feel actual emotion and it did motivate me to do things but it's important to realize that the type of life shown in games isn't really realistic. Rewind powers aren't real but also it's pretty unrealistic to expect to form relationships like the one between Chloe and Max, that kind of shit is exceedingly rare if it even exists. Still it's really cool to come out of a piece of media with new thoughts or emotions you didn't previously feel.

Most people tend to gravitate toward a friend or a person in their life that has been there either longer or been through more meaningful experiences with them. If you haven't found that person yet, you certainly will, and I hope it comes sooner rather than later. But continue keeping on in life, and make sure you don't waste it either. I agree in many regards. Finding deep connections with people that you generally have interest in is difficult, but the formative years of your life, i.e. up to thirty or so, is usually the time you find a person or two that would stick with ya. Not to say it can't happen later, but you've got a lot of time to work on yourself and your interests, so make the most of it until that great partner or friend comes into your life.
