Let's find out what happened to Shinichi Shimomura: level designer for Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Super Star, and director of Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Dream Land 3, and Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards. Shinichi Shimomura of Park Design Inc. is probably not the same Shinichi Shimomura who worked on the Kirby series, unless he became a level designer at 16.
Here are the people who have consistently worked on Kirby, from Kirby 64 to Triple Deluxe.

See if we can find their emails, social media accounts, or even miiverse.
Let's question them about Shinichi Shimomura's time with HAL, how he got his start there as a map designer, how he came to be director, why he no longer works there, how his relationship with Masahiro Sakurai developed, if it's possible to contact him directly.
