I've always drawn a comparison between it and the Igavanias merged with Classicvania.
Like moving around an open metroidvania like world like Symphony, having a forest like SC4, the legarthic hard hitting combat with weapons with slow windup time.
Souls games like true 3d CastlevaniasSucks their music isnt as great or memorable.
Deaths gambit is coming soon. Hopefully it's better than salt & sancutary
