It would be Vice City back in like 2003, but looking back? The map is so small and there's barely any side roads. There's even a race that makes you do a big loop around both islands and I think the lap is 6 minutes long.

The physics in GTAV trivialize cornering and especially offroad driving, which completely squanders any good roads or trails on the map.
The cars are too easy to drive and lack the satisfying sense of weight they had in GTAIV (which was too weighty, I admit). When you go offroad, a car like the Sultan can climb walls like Spiderman and bound over the terrain like it's a lumpy billiards table, while the SUVs and trucks struggle helplessly against their own weight.
I wanted to enjoy roaming that map, but it's dull as fuck.
