Nothing, this and Halo 4 are abominations.

The maps are just painted textures, no clutter, no elevations, just squares on a flat foundation. The multiplayer is in usual 343 fashion, saturated with useless bullshit on the HUD, "groundpound" and climbing for casuals who don't know how to use the terrain (even if it is non-existent) to their advantage.
The meshes are horrible, the armour looks like it was airbrushed and rinsed 20 times over and the amount of hexagons sticking out of them with zero structure or effort put into the design really tells you something.
They remade one of the worst maps in Halo 2 (Midship) for the third fucking time then copy-pasted it into two other maps, only changing the name and the background.

The multiplayer is about as casualised as 4 was, extensive bullet magnetism, "smart-aim" and overly fast gameplay (catering to the Quake and Doom audience), meaning any thought or ability the player has is irrelevant gameplay wise.

In Halo 4 they half-assed an "emotional" plotline by having Cortana degenerate and eventually die in the end, but they bring her back immediately anyway, making the entire scene pointless.

They replaced Master Chief with a collection of women and a nigger and butchered the lore. The campaign plays out like a cheesy action sci-fi flic, there's zero reason to care about any of the characters and it doesn't help when they recycle the same boss 7 times due to 343's inability to create memorable characters.

Even the music is atrocious, generic opera and electric with no progression or beat, just more shit you faintly hear in the background as you shoot another "Promethean" in a generic hexagonal spaceship.

Fuck this game and everyone who likes it.

There are plenty of ways to outplay someone with an SMG in close quarters, and the fact that both the SMG and AR are actually useful compared to them being glorified super-soakers in previous games is definitely an improvement.

The weapon balance. Pretty much every gun is not only viable but actually useful, without just being clones.

The free updates, while for the most part is just releasing shit that should have been in it at launch, are nice and they are doing tons of neat things with it that are virtually unheard of in other games like adding new control settings (deadzone adjuistments), and overhauling the player/emblem color customization systems and adding new colors

That said, even I agree the AR rewards spraying and praying a bit too much. I don't think the AR needs to be nerfed, though, bursting and accuracy just needs to be rewarded more with it like it was in the beta

Honestly Halo 5 is the most well rounded FPS experience available at the moment, on any platform.
