Shit's easy. Bow attack in the second phase is hard to dodge, you have to immediately start running away from him, then run to the side, then it'll swerve around and come at you and you have to spam rolls and hope you have enough stamina to wait it out. I managed it with only 15 vit and 10 end though.

Multiplayer in these areas is weird because you can do this before even going to irithyll dungeon, or you can do it completely after the profaned capital, and going through those areas will be like a 20-30 level difference.

Use the Wolf Knight Greatsword and use the weapon art strong attack. If you can't melee without a shield get the Shield of Want, it will allow you to use the ability without having to weild it two handed. It shouldn't take you more than 10 hits to kill him.
I thought he was pretty easy. so much choreography he could be a backup dancer if he had legs.

Keep your shield up for attacks, let go as soon as you can, when the arrows fly focus on dodging and nothing else, and when you get a chance to attack don't get greedy and roll away after one hit.

practice your dodge timings on his soul spear, and try to get up close to him so he doesn't spam them (if you dodge the first two and don't at least try and close the gap, he'll just continue)
phase 1 hail of arrows is pretty easy to deal with but you might need more space for phase 2 hail of arrows so make sure you have enough space to run for your life
for attacking; just stick close to his black worm-like lower appendage (i was usually to the left side of it, though i don't know it that changes anything) as he'll have a pretty hard time hitting you with his staff that way, you can probably land about 4-5 hits in before he does his whole stamp staff into ground with darkness aoe
i don't know what else i could tell you, wear armor with magic and fire resistance maybe?

Honestly the Nameless King and the Brothers Lothric are the hardest fights. But even then it's just about learning their attack patterns and rolling forward through their attacks.
Aldrich took me like 3 tries at sl 70 or so. Maybe I was overleveled?

Ok you fucking faggots i'm going to give you THE best tactic/method of beating bosses in every souls game. Something ypou should've already figured out because we're at THE FIFTH GAME (reminder this is not as effective with magic based bosses but those are a cakewalk). Doesn't matter if you're using shield or not:
Always stay to the boss' right side (your left), keep moving. When he swings, block or roll. After his moveset, hit him 1-3 times. Repeat
There you go. If you really want to cheese your way out of it, just use greatshield and this tactic.

Okay OP, I had a hard time with this bitch as well and was ready to give up, had no embers left so I couldnt summon anything.
The key to beating this shit is keeping focus on 1 thing at the time.
When he teleports and appears again, he usually shots these purple fireflies everywhere.
Focus on dodging the purple fireflies, he usually only cast them once everytime he teleports.
He might shot his lazer during all this so be ready to dodge that shit.
When you have gotten rid of all the purple fireflies, shits easy. Run up to him and slap the shit out of him.
If he charges up his arrows, start running in large circles, but not to far from him or he will shot his lazer shit again.
He takes most damage in the front, all though the tail is an easy target.

Honestly I consider this boss to be a matter of luck, well for a pure sorc, your victory only depends on the attacks he performs in phase 2. Just try again till you get the less powerfull/damaging attacks.
If you run to him IMMEDIATELY and start swinging on him as soon as he appears, he won't be able to cast the arrows. Then you just have to dodge the spear swings which are easy and don't do much damage and the purple mist shit.

First time I walked into the arena was by accident since it was at the beginning of the area. He raped me like a bitch. Tried two more times with the same effect. Then I started exploring this fucking labyrinth and those fucking mobs with over900hp spamming this irritating fire orbs enraged me so much, that after 2 hours of constant dying and never getting to that giant crossbow I returned back to that boss and beat the shit out of him on the first try. Guess I had to let some steam off.

Once I reached the castle and got the Winged Twin Knight Axes from the first fat knight, I used those the rest of the game. The DPS on them was pretty insane. I think with a resin on them, I was doing like 800 combined an L1. Made the last few fights incredibly easy. Then they got "adjusted". RIPerino.They're still incredibly strong for PvE.

You need 15 faith for tears of denial, same with holy weapon and black flame.
You need 18 for atonement, 20 for deep protection.
That adds up to 10 or so levels if you start depraved. And if you're gonna complain about buffs, there's resin and coatings.

Well on the one hand the PS4 achievements stats come from psnprofiles - and that site only tracks people who opted-in, so the actual stats may be slightly different (but then again DS is the series that only very specific people play, and those people are usually "trophy-whores", so I'm pretty sure most of the people who bought DS3 have profiles on psnprof). On the other hand on PC we have various "utilities" like SAM, so even those 0.9% may contain "hackers" that thought it would be fun to have such achievement on their profile, so they simply unlocked it illegitimately.
tl;dr while I think both of those numbers are close to real data, they are pretty much flawed and the actual percentages might be slightly (not much tho) different.

I had trouble on crystal sage too. I would get killed in the dumbest ways, running out of stamina when I was just one hit short of making him teleport when all his clones were still out and then getting pummeled in the back by magic missiles, somehow retardrunning directly into one of the slow floating crystal things, shit like that.
Refighting him on a quick playthrough and though he hardly ever actually attacks you, the attacks are devastating. Fuck the magic attacks especially. And it's pretty annoying that his tail clips into the ground, despite it being the only safe part of him to attack.

On NG+ however, everything took 1 attempt apart from the nameless king who took 3 and the champ who took 2. On NG++ everything is even easier and took 1 attempt each
Soul of Cinder was a fun boss.
