ITT: Great games nobody seems to remember anymore.
>>
Game got 2 sequels that both did worse than the first.

I enjoyed them all though.
>>
Is this the one where the car horn played La Cucaracha?
>>
It was a total blast and I like how many mini games and extras it had, also those power ups were sweet as fuck
>>
>>337121864

Yep, it also had a cool soundtrack the fitted the game.

> A sequel was originally planned named Total Overdose 2: Tequila Gunrise. It would have featured the entire map of Mexico, it was cancelled after Deadline Games closed down.

Damn....
>>
>>337121432
Great game in many regards.

Also proving the "muh diversity" faggots wrong on every level
>>
I remember playing the shit out of this game, but I legitimately can't remember anything from it outside of very few bits and pieces.

Dead To Rights was a fun one, although I haven't played it for years.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is also somewhat forgotten by now I think. But I think that's because the game was only ever really popular in Europe.

This game is criminally underrated and it's probably because of the system it's on. I hope inafune can get around to make a sequel or a port for the PS4 so people actually get to play it.

It wasn't until years later I would realise how racist this game actually was.

Fucking good game though.
>>
>>337127986

The ending chapter was shit, but the rest of the game was fanfuckintastic. I remember the Japanese skyscraper chapter, God that was some hard shit to deal with
>>
>>337124221

Decent gameplay, nice animations, lots of collision bugs, but the story was garbage to me, even as a little kid.
>>
>>337129775
I think the ending chapter was very good up until the final boss. Now that one was plain garbage.
>>
>>337129843

Yes. The Bullseye fight was waaay better

Also contributing with a precious gem
>>
>>337130112
I don't think any bossfights in The Punisher were particularly good, to be fair, I guess except for Russian fight on the island. Most of them are just "aim for the head and don't get hit" with Jigsaw being ridiculous mine-throwing extravaganza.
>>
>>337130226

Like I said, the hardest "boss fight" for me was the literal horde mode at the end of the Japanese skyscraper. Every other boss (from what I can recall) fight was pretty easy, as you stated.

One of the things I really appreciated was the score. For a low budget Marvel game they sure pulled out all the stops to have a proper orchestra score. Just listen to the part after 3:50. Damn shame about the fact that the game was an unplayable mess on some ATI cards

http://youtu.be/9NsdBnyLOU8
>>
>>337130846
I agree with you on both. My favorite tracks in the game were these ones:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOmXi2XzvVE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WbsQDhlXoE
I think the latter played when you were finally going after Ma Gnucci, among other things. That whole sequence in the burning mansion with Russian troops out of nowhere was simply amazing, even if it was copying Punchinello mansion heavily.

It is a nice game but it takes a weird turn of events on the very beginning of the game, showing that you had a black friend that helped you scape from the prison in the first game even though that character didn't even existed in the game.

Whoa, Stubbs! I remember when the game came out it was really well received, but maybe it wasn't much noticed because of it being a xbox title (and PC was kinda underground after the whole console generation getting stronger because of the ps1 and ps2).

I have never seen this or its sequel, Fall of Cybertron, discussed anywhere. I only found out it existed when Yahtzee reviewed it. Damn shame, because they were pretty damn good and thats coming from someone that isnt a very big Transformers fan. I only watched the Animated movie when I was kid. But I still loved both of these.

Both were kinda short, I finished War in 7 hours and Fall in 6. Didnt pay full price for either though, so I was pretty satisfied.

Personally I liked Falls visual style more. That said I liked War more overall, simply because of the banter, since you always have one or two squadmates with you. Especially in the Decepticon campaign, Megatron and Soundwave are great.

>the road remaining requirements were absurd and required killing and driving so fast and well
>fucking boat mission that required going so fast just to complete the mission before the state border and then half a mile to top rank it
>fucking lady thief gang final boss that required killing constantly respawning cars while finishing off the boss as fast as possible

It was one of the funnest games I ever played on the PSP.

I'm sad the sequel added pure ass on foot segments. They were literally just pure unbalanced ass.

Also who else played this little gem here? It's a bit dated in some aspects but really solid.

I tried to play it on a modern PC couple month ago: it barely worked, crashed a lot, had weird issues with controls and camera sensitivity, and only ran in like 320x240 resolution. Shame really, I wanted to replay it, the monster design in that game was fantastically unnerving, second only to The Suffering.

When I was young, i wasn't able to get into it for some reason, I don't know why but I thought it was lacking. After coming back to it a few weeks ago and giving it a try for the first time, I made to to level 33~ and to the third town I just arrived at after fighting the dragon boss.

That dragon boss is possibly the worst boss in an ARPG. Very poorly done if you are playing single player because your party just stands in the pools of fire, Lothar spent 20 minutes whittling down his health alone.

no more multiplayer EVER

I remember when I would wake up every morning and play dungeon siege for like 8 hours straight when I was very young, good times, such endless adventure.

>the faggot developers didn't seem to understand that every mission shouldn't be an escort or a defense mission and really you should just be going around fucking shit up most of the time.

Still had a blast with it, satisfied my hunger for giant robot games for a good while.

The only thing fighting force had going to for it is that it had good gameplay because you could interact with the environments to create weapons. This whole urban depressing and brooding is quite silly.
