No matter what he'll initially be connected to an opposing party. Whether it be the cops who are after you or the rival organization who want to annihilate you since they're a criminal empire wanting to take out the young upstarts everyone's talking about.
This way there's that constant thread of potential betrayal tied into the character which works with his smile and professional attire making him appear possibly too squeaky clean and therefore questionable. Naturally, he'll expound upon whichever group he's a part of giving the vast majority of backstory and setup for them along with motivations and perspective.

The issue is that her character has the potential to be a perfect storm of awfulness; not only is she a 'genius', she looks to be the youngest member of the cast and has a lot of potential to spew constant nerd-culture references.
