I just think Animal Crossing needs more stuff to help you through the grind. I dont know what it is, but I was having a good time with new leaf before I realized I was just grinding bells for half an hour each day before I shelfed it. none of my stupid neightbors or house improvements made it any better. I get that's what the game is, but still.

They should really try to flesh the game out in a a Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley like game.
I personally think that having the game's internal clock run with the actual time of day creates issues with progression.
You sit there for a few hours and can only do a few things until an event day shows up a week from now in real time. Maybe it's fine for handheld games but if an AC game comes out for NX I really would like an ability to skip to the next day and not have to wait real time for it.
