I just beat Ornstein and Smough for the first time, running sort of a paladin with a spear and morning star. But I've had a habit of not looking at bosses loot or drops until after beating them, and now I can't get the Dragonslayer lance since I killed the fatman first. Here's the kicker; I'm playing it on a shitty PS3 that constantly overheats.
Is it worth it to restart after buying the PC version? How well does DSFix work? Does it at least make some of the more intrusive fps drops bearable?

GFWL ban doesn't move over to steam kek. I used all sorts of things (DSFix, DSCfix, DSVfix) and all sorts of modification tools (Aggression mod, permanent gravelord etc.) and didn't get a ban. I guess you did something wrong.Or you cheated.

I never had any major lags even on vanilla DS. I dunno why most sperglords complain about their FPS dropping without noticing that they are still playing with toasters. Didn't even have the infamous blighttown fps-drop.

Summoning is a lot more easier on consoles than on PC. FromSoft baka messed that up on PC a little. You will need to retry a couple of times if you want to summon someone on PC

Man I don't know why people rag on Blighttown so much. That was the area that made me love this game. Maybe it's the console players. I never experienced frame drops in Blighttown so I thought it was a really fun area.

If you have the Master Key, Blighttown isn't hard, you just have to enter from the Valley of Drakes, climb down a bunch of ladders, jump at the elevator and cross the swamp.

Capra is pretty small and has little health; he's prone to 2 handed stunlocks.
Once the dogs are gone, you can go toe to toe with him with a 2 handed Zwei. He's easier than a Black Knight in this regard.
It's just the confined space and dogs that makes him seem a lot harder than he really is.
