what MMO should i get into, /v/? i wanted to play BDO for the longest time but when i heard about the price for the cosmetics it really turned me off. It would have been perfect, even if they still kept the shitty free costumes and had pay costumes, if they just made them affordable.

I agree, but EVE is such a waste of potential and the setting and basic gameplay definitely aren't for everyone or even most people. What I wish is that it had been more of a model and that we had a lot of EVE clones that improved its rough edges and adapted a lot of the good core stuff to other settings, styles and mechanics. It's a real shame that it stands alone, because it really is the only true MMO left, but its origins in 2003 show.

What the fuck were you expecting for that amount of detail, 10 dollars? Those costumes are at the highest of high in terms of quality. Name another MMO with the same level of quality. Fuck outta here with your last gen $10 dollar outfits. Not to mention you can dye them and the dye system has a ton of depth in terms of what parts you can change. OK, honestly; I do feel the same as above, but Black Desert doesn't even have a large number of costumes anyway. So you'd spend last and be wearing the same outfit longer than you'd expect. Sometimes it'll take you 10 - 15mins to get to a quest via horse riding, because the world is so got damn huge. As a result you will spend less time actually playing the game and more so just feeling the immersion.
Play Blade & Soul if you like PvP and 20 dollar costumes. Also Guild Wars 2 if you like PvP. both of these games are the only MMOs that don't require grinding for PvP gear. You can just jump right in and rekt kids.
Play Tera if you want the true Korean MMO experience. Pointless hours of grinding all for something that will become shit in 6 months and takes 6months to grind unless you spend your first few months grinding a shit ton of characters first.
Play Monster Hunter Online if you like Monster Hunter.
Play Warframe if you like cyber ninjas.
Play Dungeon Fighter Online if you like fighting games,

Fun combat, cash shop isn't that needed, subscription helps with leveling though, not much to do at max level but the classes are fun.
Guild Wars 2
Did so much right and so much better. Questing and quests in this game go by a superior system encouraging you to play with others and friends. Seriously only MMO I've seen do this right and no go the DnD route of penalize you for being others not realizing how much DnD is designed for that and MMOs aren't. More game should out right steal this system. Cool classes but simple combat. Fuck all to do at max level, the pvp is big but laggy and often fucked. The dungeons are made with tank, healer, dps in mind but the classes are not and last I played it was buggy. Also the economy is rather fucked last I played.

All of the special events that Bungie puts on are PvP activies. Iron Banner, Trials of Osiris, SRL, etc.
The only PvE shit is weekly resets for activities to timegate you. I guess I can give Bungie credit for recycling PoE into current light level content.
And above all else, all the weapon balance is done with PvP in mind (which is a huge crock of shit, especially considering how shitty the balance is).
