Sony gets ton of Japanese games, and many of them are great. Just finished Cyber Sleuth, which was surprisingly great, Gravity Rush 2, Project Diva X, Star Ocean 5, and the Atlus stuff like >>337065781 said are coming out and mostly exclusive, and there's Gust's games (Atelier, Ar Nosurge/Ar Tonellico, Nights of Azure) which are almost always good. Definitely worth getting Sony's systems if you like jap games.

At least with NES to N64 you can get around region locking by changing the pins or removing tabs to play imports while with GC to Wii U they are region locked which is retarded as usual but you can hack the consoles to bypass it which you can also do with 3DS.
