Can someone explain to me why COD fans are so mad about the Infinite Warfare trailer?
It really doesn't look dummer than any of the previous games.

Infinity ward needs to throw in the towel and just had the series to treyarch completely as at least they have the illusion of caring about their games.
Because Modern Warfare remastered isn't a complete standalone game and that's literally THE ONLY REASON and anybody who says otherwise should off themselves because they don't know anything.

Its a small amount of COD fans (it actually has more likes than AW and Ghost launch trailers), Battlefield fanboys hopping on the COd hate bandwagon like always, but mostly its bots. Its 100% botted. Out of 12 million views it got 1 million dislikes. That's less than 10 percent of the people who saw that video, disliked it and the vast majority of those are battlefield fanboys or the crowd who wouldn't buy CoD in the first place. I think it's just a reaction to the growing hate in the continuing trend with futuristic shooters. When people think of war they think of history, not science fiction and most people grew up watching war films set in the early/mid 20th century.
For me personally the guns in those games feel like something designed by a nerdy teenager and it totally kills it for me.
I found BF3 close quarter maps to be good, but in BF4 they dropped the ball.

1. Out of these 1+ million dislikes, probably less than 15% are actual COD players or have ever bought more than one COD title
2. This is probably also related to the Modern Warfare remake locked behind a new COD game, which Activision really brought onto themselves
3. Once the "games media" starts publishing articles that go "WOW LOOK PEOPLE REALLY DO NOT LIKE THIS CALL OF DUTY TRAILER", it's basically a chain reaction of dislikes
This shitstorm is artificial and arbitrary and does not represent consumer climate towards the COD franchise or the new game. The sale numbers will reflec this, they will not be below average for the franchise.

With Black Ops 2 we had a solid boots on the ground semi future. Ghosts was similar but garbage, and advance warfare was arguably worse with the horrible jet packs. People generally see Treyarch as the best COD studio so when they released another divisive future jetpack game, after teasing ww2 for so long, the community got angry.
This reached a boiling point with supply drops and the 'COD then and now' pictures and infinity war just made the situation even worse. Especially locking what the people want, boots on the ground, behind a paywall.

We all know it will probably look nothing like this. Shitty consoles are already struggle to maintain 30 FPS and usually chug to 20-24 under load. Will most likely get lots of downgrades.
Three extremely glaring issues immediately come to mind.
The first reason is the fact that it's finally Infinity Ward's turn to churn out a new CoD game since Sledgehammer (Advanced Warfare) and Treyarch (Black Ops III) have had their turns. This in itself is laughable, since the team departure after MW2 and the catastrophic bombing of Ghosts was enough to slander the Infinity Ward branding now and forever.
The second reason is the fact that you have to buy Infinite Warfare just to get CoD 4 remastered, obviously showing just how desperate they are to boost sales since they're fully aware that the only way to sell their new game is to package it with a game that people actually want to play.
The third reason is because people are enjoying the bandwagon of CoD hate. If you need proof of this, just go to the comments section of the video and actually count how many people openly admit to disliking it just because they can without any actual incentive to do so.
