DMC HD can be a good source of trophies, the only hard part of DMC3 is Dante Must Die and the only hard part of DMC2 is the Bloody Palace (you have to work your way through like 90 stages of bullet sponges and it's the most annoying bullshit), but it's pretty doable.

I can understand when some games do the inside percentage progression tracker, because it's a part of the game.
Trophies/achievements just slapped on top of it most of the time.
They are literally meaningless and often a chore to get, usually never giving any rewardachievements unlocked is not a reward

I'm similar. Though the only games I really avoid are ones with undoable online trophies. My backlog is so big that filtering based on trophies helps me prioritize. Also, 100%'ing trophies provides a decent stopping point since it's sometimes actually easier than 100%'ing the actual game.

Yeah. They're not super open about when they show up either. You have to check the achievements section of the dashboard to see them. Usually they're pretty easy, but sometimes they're community things, like when the community gets 10000 kills over the course of a weekend, everyone gets the cheevo.

They're always worth 0 gamerscore, but they do show up under the games achievements.

I love this website not even for boosting achievements/trophies but just for how it organizes all your trophy data. It also takes into account the "TA ratio" which i love-

According to the website the true rarest or hardest to obtain one I have is Way of the Mentor in NG2, a game I don't even have 100% in. Also these sites do ban people if they find out the used save editors or other exploits so the percentages of people who have the achievement should be a little more accurate than that you see just on your psn trophy list or steam for example.

After you login you can click on stats and then go to achievements. I mean the rarest one in the TA sense (that takes into account rarity multiplied by how many gamerscore the achievement is. Not sure how they do it for playstation games). You can also select to see them by gamerscore and some other things too if you rather that than the TA score.

I think the Spartan Assault ones might be so high because the game was on games with gold so a lot of people probably downloaded it and didn't bother to really give it a go. I'm pretty sure it calculates the ratio only by the people who have played the game and have the achievement not the entire Xbox community and who has the achievement.

Kinda just playing random things lately as school is winding down for the semester, but I think Transformers might be fun and not too difficult to plat. I have this problem where there are many games I'm close to platinum (like 2 or 3 trophies left), but most of them require doing something very tedious or beating the game again but with different options. Xrd Sign for example. Beating MOM Mode, getting all items in MOM mode and getting 1 million WDs is bullshit. It's not hard to do but it is very time consuming.

What was hard about MGS2? I played Sons of Liberty back in the day and got all the dog tags and beat the game on Extreme.

A bit off topic, but I'm trying to get the Drakengard 3 plat. The only thing I pretty much need is to beat that final boss. I've tried for weeks even with a video guide, but I still can't clear it. It's always at the same spot too near the end when they send the multiple notes at a time then the 1 slight delayed note. I swear I hit that note in time with the video but it always shows that I miss it. I have no clue if it's off in some way or if I'm hitting it too early or too late since that's when the camera pans off of Mikhael.

Which is exactly what they were in the 360 version. If you hit an enemy using any other weapon the achievement was negated. Obviously had to do all of them but dragon sword on ng+ and even then doing your first run even just dragon sword would be awful.

I remember doing 3-4 of those runs in the 360 version. I got burnt out eventually and gave up, but it was really annoying. A lot of cutscenes where Ryu got a new weapon would make it so that he was automatically equipped with it after the movie ended, so if you accidentally swiped without realizing your weapon had changed you needed to reset the game
