A few reasons video games are worthwhile is because they quickly relive stress that would hinder a persons work habit, hurt their sociability and even lead to physical and mental debilitations or even death.
Another possible reason video games are meaningfull is because they can improve hand eye cordnation, critical thinking which can lead to and help in a technological career.
