Twin Peaks went to shit once David Lynch was no longer involved with it. The mystery and alienation was just explained away as "ghosts lmao", which Lynch would never do. And it literally didn't finish. There are tons of unresolved storylines and cliffhangers, like the explosion in the bank, as they obviously had to cancel an additional season.
Don't waste your time on it, it's close enough to being good that you'll just be really disappointed.
