The game uses numerous tricks to get more frames of animation out of the sprites. This is very uncommon in GBC games and most emulators just aren't coded to replicate it properly. As far as I know any recently updated/made GBC emu probably runs it fine.

I just gone playing the one from the Humble Bundle for a few hours. I don't understand why the fuck they thought it'd be acceptable to make B the accept button, but it's retarded as fuck. I also wasn't aware that I was buying a GBA port. It looks fucking awful, like much worse than most "indie" games. I do like the sprite animations though. The ugliest part is that they chose to do hi-res portraits of people when everything else looks like pixelated garbage, and the clash is an eye rape.
