Yeah I mean, it's not like fabricating microprocessors requires millions upon millions of dollars worth of equipment, millions upon millions, if not billions, of man-hours of design, engineering, testing, r&d, per generation, the ability to produce extremely pure elements/molecules and then finely alter them by passing in other atoms, all done in an environment several orders of magnitude cleaner and void of unwanted particulate matter than an operating theater.

No it doesn't. Intel is a business. They exist to make a profit for their shareholders. They have a natural upper limit given by the price point which gives the highest profits. If they set prices to $100,000,000,000,000 they would not make money.

Maybe you should get an education and have a clue what you are talking about before calling people stupid on /v/?

More complex = more transistors grown on each chip = more material used per wafer = more cycles of lithography/etching etc required per wafer = massive increase in costs and time per wafer

If they cost 'about exactly the same to make' only i7s would exist moron.

You're a retard. The only reason the i7 processors are priced so high is because Intel operates in a virtual monopoly for those specific class of processors. It has nothing to do with manufacturing costs.

Retard here. How that works?. Why do you need a powerful computer to do that?.
>>
>>336657606
Actually you should learn how matchmaking works first. P2P over the internet still uses a middleman. How do you think your game magically finds all these people to connect with? Why do you think that when Sony's or Microsoft's servers go down, you can't play with other people? P2P is not what you think it is. Learn some networking.

Don't even try to use M$ as a role model. They only did Games for Gold to combat PS+. So in other words you have Sony to thank for those free games. You have M$ to thank for the paid multiplayer. Sony definitely isn't full of saints, but paid multiplayer was something they were forced into due to M$'s success with it. If anything, M$ should have copied Sony in its entirety. As in make multiplayer free and offer additional services like GwG for a fee. That was the perfect solution. Now with PS+ being mandatory for multiplayer, both systems no longer offer the value PS+ originally offered.

Live went out for a week, because people were mad and they needed to fix it, lest they lose paying customers. When PSwhateverthefuck went out, it went out for months on end, because no one fucking paid for anything.

And $60 a year on top of paying for internet, the console, games, new controllers every year, etc is negligible.
