/v/ when was the last time you played at an arcade?
>>
>>336642978
Went to arcade UFO a month or two ago.
>>
I can't even remember.

Last time I played a coin-op anything was probably half a decade ago
>>
Literally a week ago. Thinking of going tonight, but it's already kind of late.

2 weeks ago, but it's currently closed and being remodeled as a thematic cafe. They'll still have some machines, but it won't be the same.

God damn, I feel lucky my local cinema still carries an arcade section.

>>336643291
Indeed, there's still tons of arcades there.

>>336643435
If it was a MAME rom I'm sure it wouldnt be the Japanese version of the game.
>>
Went to Ground Kontrol last week and spent $10 on DDR
>>
Im actually going to one tomorrow!! I dont go too often and im not actually going to play any acade games, but they have a decent selection there! Mostly fighting and rhythm games tho
>>
last halloween i stayed overnight at an arcade and played pop'n and IIDX until 8am
was pretty good
>>
Whenever it was that I last went to the shore, which I can't remember exactly when I went but it wasn't that long ago. They actually had 2 early Tekken game cabs which surprised me.

8 months ago @Dave and Busters. Had Time Crisis 5 and got a Smitty Werben Yanker Man-Jenson hat so all was good.

I was so young I had to stand on the little plastic stool in order to play that zombie themed light gun game.

2003? It closed while I was in 8th grade.

Fucking paradise, wish we had them back home...
>>
If any of you guys live in Jersey, Yestercade in Red Bank is a dream. It's 25 for an all you can play day pass and they have a ton of machines and two TVs with all the consoles+ a huge library.

I got in for 15 because there was a Smash tourney being held that day. I went to play smash but got distracted and only had to pay the reduced viewer fee to get in.
>>
Never because they weren't a thing where I lived
>>
I prefer pinball.
There's no other feeling in the world like it.
I'm not very good but I love it. I know other pinball jockeys can get the ball to go just about anywhere they want but really I can only get a good idea of that if I trap the ball first and then shoot it.

last summer, if you can even call it an "arcade". It was one of those small ones in Coney Island with two machines that had classic games and the rest being those dumb "win tickets!" shit

I did make bank in tickets by winning the jackpot in deal or no deal twice

It was only enough tickets for two shitty plastic samurai swords
>>
About a month ago. There is a place about a mile from where I work that is a bar/arcade. All the games are freeplay so long as you are drinking. Its pretty awesome. They have a lot of classic shooters, beat-em-ups, and fighters.

2005, my last year of high school: on the mornings when we felt like skipping school we'd go to this bar on the beach that had an annexed decent-size arcade (decent-size considering the location, it was 10-15 machines in total, but by then all full-scale arcades had already died down and this was pretty much the biggest one), but once there we mostly just drank beer and played pool.

I love these threads because i live right next to the largest arcade in america.

Here's a prototype beavis and butthead cab they picked up like a month ago. There was only 10 of them ever made, and only 4 are known to exist today. Still hasn't been dumped. Mike judge has probably never even seen one of these.

>>
>>336651023
going back, I don't like much of the SNES game. Turbomall 2000 is too hard in the fish tank, and the butthole hospital light platform jumps.
easiest is Neighborhood and the Tom Anderson fight
>>
>>336651179
>easiest is Neighborhood
funny, I found it the hardest. It had the hardest boss by far and the segment where you have to jump on clotheslines is pretty tricky.

School was probably the easiest, followed by hospital (fuck those hospital bed segments), followed by the mall.
>>
>>336651463
Maybe I just got good at the Neighborhood level because I played it so much as a kid, I loved the dogs and old ladies.
Did the Hospital have the part with Billy Bob chasing you in a motorized wheelchair? Or was that a different game?
>>
>>336650880
It's a CD-i game that never got finished or ported to the console. Supposedly they couldn't get it running when they obtained it and had to jerry-rig a CD-i to the cabinet to make it even run.

Haven't got to play it myself, but plan on it. looks interesting

Yeah, that was the one. You had almost 0 time to react to obstacles in front of you that you basically had to be jumping at all times.

Two weeks ago. Ran out of credits when I wanted to join in a friend in playing Dariusburst (that shit looks amazing with the triple-monitors).
