There are no female characters that had memorable personalities to me. Never did they have that special mixture of positive traits and flaws that humanizes a male character, never has a female character's motivation been meaningful to me, never have their struggles captivated me. I've never cheered for a female character when they do something badass, because it always just feels so hollow.
I can think of plenty of male characters that accomplished this. Male characters have made me feel a vast array of emotions. Every scene in fiction that left a lasting effect on me, that I still remember with strong feelings to this day, was centered around a male character and his struggles, both internal and external.
I believe a big part of the blame rests with the people who make female characters, but at the same time, I can't deny that there seems to be something inherently inferior about female characters. Something that just makes them unconvincing and uninteresting. About the most I can feel for a female character is sexual attraction, and that's particularly rare for videogames because I think 3D models depicting female characters look like creepy dolls, and people who fap to them have worse taste than people who think that female characters have compelling personalities.

They're pandering because they've made one player character choice a nonelement due to overreaction in design. I have no problem with the male player characters before gen 5 because they were distinct designs from the female player characters. Nowadays, why bother picking a male character when it's been the same shit for the past 5 years? I really hope Sun and Moon's male character is decent because otherwise I'll see it as another reason to skip out on the game.

To be fair, guy's clothes are pretty damn comfy. That being said, I kinda feel more comfortable in girl's clothing. But that's more psychological than physical. Panties + dick are not a winning combination. But I'll be damned if yoga pants and leggings don't make my ass look squeezable as fuck.

The issues I have with the female character designs (fap bait) are much less severe than literally recycling a design for five years over 3 separate games.
