As a blue sentinel, I usually try to work with the host instead of outright going full purge paladin. I'll protect the host first. It also doesn't help that I'm 50 int 50 attunement whopping 10 (health stat) sorcerer, so chasing is usually stupid.
However, I hate how passive hosts+phantoms are. It's annoying using my limited supply of FP on a red phantom only for them to get away.
Also I wish sorceries weren't shit in PvP. However I can't pass up how cool I feel using them.

Invaders think they're supposed to be the boss of the area. The purpose of invasions is not to put a dead stop to progress and be some unbeatable force of nature. Your just a fucking counterbalance to co-op. Not using the environment to your advantage when it's 4v1 is just plain stupid. You have to decide when to attack them, and the best time to do so is usually when there are stronger enemies that people are known to have some trouble with or enemies that can grab and do large damage. Choke points such as bridges or cliffside areas are great areas to attack as well.
When you invade, it's your goal as the invading faggot to kill the host and since it's usually skewed against you it's best to do whatever you can to accomplish that task.

I think the issue at hand here is not so much the fact that you invade co-opers as it is that you invade exclusively co-opers. I've been invading quite a bit in several different areas and it's almost like people with summons are prioritised to be invaded, even with covenants that aren't the mound makers.

Invaders are supposed to be the reason you don't rely on summons for everything, they're in the game to punish players for being human/embered.
To this end I think Blues and Giant Seeds are the worst things they ever added. You already have a pretty bulletproof way of not getting invaded, you don't need these things to protect you.
3v1s come with the territory though. I find if you can get a parry and get one of them fucked, things pretty quickly fall apart for the host and his remaining buddy.

Not really, it just isn't as good as it was in DaS or DaS2. You can still do a hueg damage, but it works better when your enemies are distracted. Like when you're either ganking, or invading with multiple invaders.

Great resonant soul was nerfed to the point of uselessness almost even though it took Souls to cast and messed with soul memory. I believe climax was as well. Resonant weapon was also nerfed to the point of uselessness and Dark weapon ended up being better and it was the same as lightning blade
Dark Orb is good but for the stat investment it's really lackluster and its he only decent source of DPS for a hex build. It was left alone because it's balanced and its only used now because great resonant soul was nerfed so hard
