What kind if games are the 40k games? Where do I start if I want to try to get into them?
I'm kind of afraid that this is going to get a console port and be super dumbed down. They already said they want it to be accessible so it wouldn't surprise me if that was the next step.
The high contrasting colors they're going for would work on a TV, the only problem is the skill shots they want to have in the game (placing the knights missiles independently) would suck on a gamepad.

40k is a tabletop game primarily but there's a bunch of videogame spinoffs, if you're interested in them there's a DOW2 demo on steam and I think all the games are on sale atm.
Outside of dawn of war, space marine is a solid 6.8/10 third person shooter in the setting that's fairly fun for a single playthrough and battle fleet gothic kicks ass if you like naval combat.
