It's not even recognizable as a crossover for one, I don't see how they could extrapolate an idol motif from SMT or Fire Emblem short of just wanting the Persona angle.
That itself wasn't bad, but there was also the long wait to release until the practical end of a horrible lifecycle for a Nintendo console. It got revealed super early and had no information released about it for nearly two and a half years.
When it did get shown off, I was still planning on getting it even though I wasn't sure what I was expecting anymore. Recently, all the stuff about heavy handed changes came out and I just lost all want to play it.
There's no sense in spending money on a questionable JRPG crossover when just next month, you have Grand Kingdom, Zero Escape 3, Star Ocean 5, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator and Odin Sphere coming out if you're interested in weeb games, and that's just next month. There's still 7th Dragon Code III in July, Persona 5, SMT4A and more if you're into weeb games.
So yeah. I don't see why I should add this to the list of weeb shit I'm interested in when that market is already saturated this year.

its not collectors that are the only ones buying games second hand, when games become available digitally the secondary market suffers. just look at the dip MVC2 took when they re-released it on PSN/XBLA, then the pickup it had when it was removed for licensing issues.
even still, if youre gonna get it to resell thats fine, poor argument that it's a game worth my time though.

If you are going to "age up" your characters to 18 there is no reason to censor their panties or bikinis. Hell, there is no reason to age them up either. The game could have been released fully intact with a Teen rating. But I guess Nintendo wanted to spend extra money censoring the game and reducing the number of copies sold. It makes no logical sense.

The very concept of the game. SMT and Fire Emblem are both boring as fuck, moreso with every recent installment. Turning them both into a shitty derivative pop idol game that ruins the only good thing about either game -- the atmosphere, the feel, the setting.
