Because realistically, a 40k movie would have to be entirely CGI, just to be able to get the sheer size of battles and the characters themselves. It would also be hard to make a "Warhammer movie" since any movie about it would not be able to contain the true breadth of the setting, it would be less of a Warhammer movie, and more of "a movie bout one skirmish in the galaxy" Of course they could do a small scale story, like a movie about a Spacehulk, or Inquisitorial actions, or whatever, but again, it would still not capture the full madness of the setting, because there would just not be enough room. It is the 41st millenium and everything is fucked. Humanity has been at war with itself for the last ~20 000 years (10k of which were spent reconquering space, and 10k were a galactic civil war because Space Jesus had 21* sons, two of which are never spoken of, and the rest split evenly between loving daddy and hating him because they were manipulated by elder evils). Humanity is also at war with everything else.
"Chaos" is the sea of emotion - there's reality and right next to it is a world of emotion... where every emotion echoes in it. Powerful emotions felt by powerful souls (psychics) can resonate and create intelligences... Namely the four chaos gods, Khorne (hate), Nurgle (despair), Slaanesh (Excess) and Tzeentch (change). These intelligences are amoral and seek to preserve their own existence, they were the architects of the human civil war.
Space elves (the 3rd oldest race) used to 'rule' the galaxy before man, but they literally fucked an evil god into existence (slaanesh) around M.30 and it killed 99.9% of them, destroyed their empire, killed all but two (and a half) of their gods and left a giant hole in space (the eye of terror) where reality and the warp are one. Only the mind-shielded puritans and a few fucked up psychopaths survived.
Orks (fungus people) were created by the oldest race to fight necrons (the second oldest race) and given an inherent understanding of the universe hard coded into their DNA. They just *know* science and shit inherently (sometimes) but there's no cumulative centuries of knowledge backing it up. They don't fear death and they love to fight... so they fight everything... which leads to them spawning fungal ecosystems that produce more of them,
Necrons were tricked by their gods and are stuck in metal bodies without any feeling, they are basically slaves that exist only to serve the C'tan. They went to sleep after almost wiping the galaxy clean previously to feed their gods delicious souls.

Tyranids are creatures from outside of the galaxy, and they want to consume all life. They are bad news.
Tau are a small group of humanoids seeking to carve out their own empire. They aren't very important.
Humanity has 3-4 major factions. The imperial guard (regular human armies, conscripted by the billions and thrown at whatever problem), Sisters of Battle (the religious army of the emperor, who after being told they weren't allowed to have any "men"-at-arms, went with the loophole of "why not women?"), The Mechanicum of Mars (technically independent, they are the allies of earth, but they're basically co-dependent with the imperium. They are the religious priests of technology, they hoard any and all knowledge and change is bad... because for ~10k years humanity basically fought sky-net. They also believe humans are holy and that defiling the human form is ultra bad), and finally the Space Marines (biologically enhanced super soldiers, small in number large in impact), in theory they are also technically independent, but most work with the imperium... aside from the guys who went over to chaos in the civil war.
I've missed a lot of shit, but most of it isn't important or is just nuanced fluff details. Everyone hates each other (and often times themselves), Everyone is trying to kill each other, and most people recognize everything is fucked and or doomed in the end.

Once the mortal body dies souls are dropped straight into the warp - regular people don't have enough psychic power to retain cohesion in the sea of emotion and basically just dissolve into the screaming nothingness. Psykers do retain cohesion though... and if they're lucky some lesser warp creature just eats them up real quickly... if they're unlucky they attract the attention of one of the greater intelligences that decided to do horrible things to them for long, long amounts of time.

Orks have an inherent hardcoded understanding of the universe programmed into their DNA. Ork's know *lots* of shit but they can't necessarily explain it. They're also all a little bit psychic.
Their gestalt doesn't make the impossible possible (unless a wierdboy is channeling it to do some crazy stuff), it just subtly alters probability. Every ork knows how to build a shoota, but if they think a shoota is pretty gud (and their allies think it is too) if it should jam once every twenty shots, it might only jam once every fifty, or even less. That's part of how flash gitz work (as their shoota's are extra speshul and every other ork knows this), even though there's a lot of experimental shit going on with them.
No ork is gunna turn a dead cat into a nuclear bomb, because even if they're dumb as a fucking brick, they *know* that can't work like that.

The Tyranids don't build things, or use tech, they don't have medics, and don't pilot vehicles, so they would have no use for the Ork's inherent know-how and they already have access to Psyker abilities, so they have no need for the Waaagh! (if they could even gain access to it) Not to mention any knowledge or info that is valuable to the Tyranids is already known to the whole of their species once it's absorbed by a single one of them, thanks to their hivemind. Tyranids already have a hivemind and psychic powers. It's concentrated into zoanthropes (eldar influenced) and norn queens which are the ruling intelligences of nid hive fleets (think zerg queens like zagara or kerrigan from starcraft).
There are already orky biomorphs too (tyrant guard, pyrovores or whatever the fuck they are, and the ones that floop out more bomb-creatures).
Nid's don't give a shit about technology. The do abathur / zagara / izsha things from starcraft (spin new mutations, use psychic powers, and throw tons of biomass at their opponents).

Because the Ork psychic WAAAAGH field is something different to what they already have, but would work extremely well in conjunction with the tyranid hivemind. A group of Orks who all believe the same thing can start altering reality, and this is a genetic trait. The nids can strip the "how to build shootahs" code out and just take the group buff, when an entire race thinks the same thing and the more units thinking something the more they can bend reality, there's going to be good times.

The Necrons and the Tyranids are pretty much antithesis of the warp. Necrons have tech capable of ignoring and pushing back the warp, and the Tyranids are able to fuck with the warp just by existing, but Necrons are very clearly antithesis of Tyranids. Tyranids go to a planet and they cause all life on the planet to swell and grow to it's limit and then eat the whole thing clean, Necrons just kill a planet down to a microscopic scale.
