After around level 6 it becomes blatant that the entire game is manipulating you.
The grind to the next level is exponential, you can't get cards fast enough to level up and everyone that's progressing will have insanely higher level cards than you.
The difference between a Level 6 and 7 is pretty extreme and it gets worse every level.
The only way to counter this is either sink a shit ton of time and lose a lot just so you can get more cards and eventually level up -- where you'll repeat the same process -- or pay up like they want you to.
