Higher numbers are still higher. It doesn't matter if 100% of WiiU owners buy something if that number is less than whatever portion of the other console install base buys it. As long as the development costs are the same, whatever SOLD MORE is going to be the better business choice.

They're independent because they wanted to do their own thing without being pressured by higher ups like they were as Clover Studios in Capcom's clutches.

Activision is still giving them jobs even after Korra was received poorly and so we got Transformers and the upcoming TMNT from them.

Pretty sure they're gonna be independent for as long as they can be.

That being said, IIRC they promised Bayonetta news in 2016 so we'll see something from that soon.

Clover Studios was exactly what they're doing now, except they were funded by Capcom. All projects developed under Clover were projects the staff wanted to do, how they wanted to do it. Capcom created Clover Studios so that their top talent could create games without interference from executives.

The studio was closed down because none of the games produced profited enough to justify the studio remaining open. The staff was going to be reabsorbed back into Capcom to work on projects determined by the higher ups. That is when Clover split to form Platinum.

The patch only fixed the loading times. It's still capped at 30 fps and rarely even hits 30 fps. The PS3 version is one of the worst ports of all time.

It's a bad port but don't be ridiculous. It doesn't belong on that list. To be on that list, you had to have done something incredibly catastrophic to the original source material.

The port wasn't even handled by platinum, that is why it was such a mess. Platinum came in later to fix what Sega did, and even then they couldn't make it work 100%.
