Elite system actually sounds like a nice compromise between people who wanted big huge battles and people that preferred small unit micro. Crank out the huge hordes of mooks to rumble, combined with fine control of a few special units that can have a big impact. Also looking forward to the return of base building.

It does say three races for the campaign. Does not mean that there not other races in so I'll wait to see.
The only two things annoying me is the Space Marine proportion in the trailer at certain parts. Sometimes it looked great, other times, they looked too thin but it's a trailer.
The graphics need a touch too as it looks too bright in my opinion. Needs to be a bit darker to get that grimdarkness.
Overall, I'm hyped and happy with the direction the game is taking (basebuilding, large armies and some rpg mechanics from Dawn of War 2 sounds great).

Chapter was made by them (with GW approval) for the original DoW game. They where so well done in both the games and the books, that GW made them an offical chapter and are no longer non canon. This to be honest, I don't understand the appeal of base building in a DoW game. I enjoyed DoW 2 way more than the orignal. The art direction was also a major improvement in my opinion.
If they had an updated and scaled up version along with some changes to race, call-ins and whatnot it would have been perfect (for me, a lot of people like the base building it seems).
I'm actually slightly hyped about this trailer, its stylish as fuck.

No, they're boring and bring literally nothing to the table beyond WAAAAAAGGGGHHHH and goofy voices. There's nothing you can do with them narrative wise beyond that, it's not interesting. They are essentially non-characters that exist only to be fought and killed. I fully expect them to fill the roll they've filled in every single one of these games so far, which is to say you start out fighting them until Chaos/Tyranids/Necrons show up and become the bigger threat.

Mostly because the RTS bits with timings and multiple production ques were better with building.
DoW2 took them out which was fine, though it forgot to replace it with something else. As a result, most agree that DoW2 was less of an RTS game.
