Honestly, the constant grind to yet another annoying boss battle that I have build a big, ugly arena for is the main reason why I stopped playing Terraria.
That, plus beating the end events as a summoner was just not fun at all.
Why is the summoner armour shittier when the minions can't take damage or even distract enemies from you?

yeah but once you reach endgame you Cant have any mobility beyond your gappling hook because all the summoner accessories which are practically needed to make Summoner viable take up Every single one of your accessory slots leaving you without faster movement speed and wings

you don't build the arena to close the boss. You build it so you have a big, open space to move and manuever while you fight the boss.

Not OP but I don't like how you need to build a fagtrone for the bosses.
That's not skill, I just need to grind and build that stuff. I want to be able to avoid every enemy attack and poke it with my stick even if it takes forever.
Just make the boss patterns more slow so I can actually avoid them but give them a damage boost that instakills for all I care. Imagine if a SHMUP had a boss that requires you to use bombs because it has unaivodable patterns.

Its expert mode, for people who already think the normal game is no challenge and want it hard and almost unfair. Anyone with half a brain builds a arena to make it easy and buffs, its a requirement in hardmode due to it being made for the kind of people who do the buffs and arena's to begin with and still want a challenge.

In any case, the first bosses are complete bullshit with their little minions and everything. Nothing stops them, and it takes multiple players just to have enough knockback to be efficient. That's just for the first phase.

Most of which either meh or made for Expert mode only, since they would break the game if added in normal mode. Worm Scarf and another accessory slot are overkill, not to mention the insane health regen or spores.
Hell, the shield is needed to beat most bosses itself due to their dificulty. They are required for the sake of expert mode, if you are so autistic you need to get everything and every item, just go beat the moonlord, get a phantasm and then beat them in a Expertmode world.

Expert Skeletron was pretty easy for me desu. He was the first one I took down. Expert Plantera and Expert Moonlord were some of the biggest bullshit I've ever faced in a game. Had to cheese both of them with nearby nurses and tailor made arenas.

The first and only arena I ever built was for moonman. He simply did too much damage and I needed some kind of healing so I stuck some platforms in the air with heart statues on a timer and some honey to dip in on the side
