You are running away from an invader and you need to switch items WHILE running.
But your controller is a Xbox controller.
You can't reposition your thumb from the stick to the dpad because that would make you stop running.

What would you do in this situation?
>>
Learn how to use a controller, moron
You can easily switch items while running
>>
I just use my right thumb to switch items fast, lol. Get good scrub. It's even better than clawing the fucking dual cock.
>>
>>336321392
isn't that true with a ps4 controller as well? either you play claw which applies to both or you have to move your thumb so why bother bringing this up.
>>
i am one of the only human beings not using a controller
>>
>>336321392
My hands are big enough that I can reach the left D-pad with my right thumb
>>
>>336321630
You use your thumb on stick and pointer to use dpad with ps4 controller

I should try that. I use my right thumb to move instead.

Why would using your right thumb stop you? Movement is on left stick
>>
>>336322160
>square housing for your thumbsticks

Fuck, it felt weird when I had one of those gamepads.
>>
>>336322356
If you reposition your right thumb

1. you would not be able to move your camera
2. you would most likely stop sprinting if your right pointer was pushing the sprint button, because you would have to release the button in order for your right thumb to reach the dpad
>>
>>336321392
you can do it with an xbox controller easily but not with a shitty dualshock
>>
>>336322757

>>336322160
>>
You just have to do the double claw
Right thumb stick
Right finger B
Left thumb stick
Left finger dpad
>>
>>336321392
Crab claw bro. Forefinger on run, left thumb on stick, right thumb on D-pad. As long as I plan to continue running I can hold B just fine.

Fucking claw grip that shit retard. Have you never played SFIV on 360? Do that.
Also
>You are running away from an invader
kill yourself
>>
>>336322909
I do this with my 360 controller too. Works just fine with either one, would need to do this from time to time when I played FF 14.
>>
>>336322910
in order to claw grip the xbox controller, you will have to move your left pointer from LB to dpad, and your left thumb to stick

thus making you stop for at least half a second
>>
>>336323148
Move your left pointer from LB to LS
Both your thumb and pointer are now on LS
>Move thumb from LS to Dpad
>Move middle finger to LT/LB
It's simple shit m8
>>
>>336323313
If you have to "not move" for even half a second, then you already lost.

>Move thumb from LS to Dpad
there, you already got backstabbed
>>
>>336321392
roll, and then take thumb off the LStick to press DPADv while still rolling/recovering, then continue running. burns stamina, but better than dying, and of course guarantees you won't be hit if you time it right.

>>
>>336323678

And then you have to reposition both of your fingers again to normal position

I've been an xbox kid for life. I'll take this compromise over having my thumbs touch when I move right and look left on playstation

What makes you so sure it's better to control an analog stick with you thumb than your index finger?

Apposable thumbs are not necessary to control an analog stick. Any degree position of the stick can be achieve with a finger on a single plane of movement.

I move my index finger down and over my thumb to use this dpad.

I also do this with my right hand to move the camera while running. Thumb stays on cicle / b and I just move my index finger down to use the stick.

As far as I know I'm the only one who does this and my friends make fun of me for it but it's just the most comfy for me.
