It's fucked up, but most pubs worthwhile don't even have it, the mods on the servers are usually quick to get rid of hackers, and some even have automated systems to kick them out if they're blatantly aimbotting. Some guys made a unofficial patch, to 1.8, which has it's own little anticheat and steam support to view recent players who are also on the same server. They did stopped the master serverlist for CoD4, so you have to use other ways of finding servers.

Game Scanner finds actual servers that are hosted by companies who've been at it before the games release, It's super handy to use, and it gives you alot more info about the server. If you ever used Xfire, it has similar functions

MW2 while the first of the fast paced cods, was still decently balanced and stood alone when released. The problem was they took that mechanic and ctrl+c then v'ed it year after year.

Cod campaigns are utter shit, don't hit us with that trash. Black ops 3 was okay. The advanced movements were more refined than Advanced Warfare but there was an obnoxious amount of force fields. You could barely jump over anything to sneak up on people or capture flags.

Cod4 was precious ground. Watching the side by side images of the remaster is making me sick to my fucking stomach. They had an entire studio literally recreate 10 maps, the entire campaign, the lighting system, the weather, the sounds

needless to say the game was absolute shit and the last call of duty for the player with to brain cells to rub together... at this point they still sell millions but it's getting lower and lower by the year, so why not pick some of the fan favorites "remake" it (quoted because they've been remaking that game for years) and handed it out with the newest shit that no one cares?

I concur. MW2 was just fun as fuck and I don't think anything will ever capture that feeling of using an AC-130 for the first time on Afghan.
That being said the game desperately needed a patch towards the end, which never came due to infinity ward self-destructing. The OMA-DC-Noobtubes were just game breaking and made domination a hellhole almost. The nuke also should had never been added. Not a fan of a killstreak ending the game because the enemy pulled a harrier on places like wasteland. It was a great run however and desu I wouldn't let them change anything during it's run except the tail end of MW2's life.
Raven Software is making the remaster, so maybe it'll be better than expected.Activision will never let Raven make a new Hexen.
