Biggest retarded blunder of the century. Warcraft 3 has their only good narratives. And starting with Arthas means little to know in depth lore details be explained off the bat, human kingdom falls to a plague and a human noble falls to evil to save it, fucking simple for moviegoers, 90% of the things in that campaign were introduced THEN. The few things that will need detailing like Nerzhul and the Legion can easily be explained over the course of 3 movies.
Why they would go with their most boring story and retcon things like Brown Orcs into the demon horde is beyond me.

It won't but it will affect potential return business and the box office receipts for every week after the first one. Even the Force awakens with it's 540 Million dollar worldwide opening didn't start making a profit off f the film itself until 2 weeks in and I doubt Warcraft was cheap to make. The Arthas story is literally perfect for a Warcraft movie
Simple but powerful, with obvious key moments to adapt into the film. Each campaign works perfectly as a movie.
Arthas starts off fight Blackrock Orcs, then into the plague and Kel'Thuzad, through the Culling of Strathholme (not explaining who Mal'Ganis is), chase to Northrend, receiving Frostmourne and wasting Muradin, then finally home to kill daddy in the final moments of the film, maybe adding a short detail of Arthas talking to his undead guards before shot for shot the human campaign ending in a modern movie.
The only issue I can see arising is how they will handle Arthas vs Illidan.

Well to be fair, there is a decent amount of violence in Warcraft as per it's very nature.
I'm no the guy you replied to but I'm actually a little surprised they aren't going for an M rating as with PG-13 they can't show blood or realistic violence. Which will be rather limiting on what they can do with the battle scenes.
I mean, they'll probably just have people get stabbed and not bleed or not actually show anyone getting stabbed and whatnot but that has the potential to become rather silly in a movie that is literally about war and combat.
